10-Day Braj Holi Festival Tour in India
Celebrate Holi, the festival of colors in the Braj Region (birthplace of Lord Krishna), visit Sri Krishna Janma Bhoomi in Mathura and Vrindavan temples and see the famous UNESCO World Heritage sites Taj Mahal and Agra Fort in Agra. Holi Festival 2023 is from March 7th to 8th.
Holi Festival – Known as the festival of colors, Holi is a popular Hindu celebration in India. It occurs annually on the day of the full moon in March, starting with Holika Dahan on the evening of the full moon in the Hindu calendar month of Phalguna. Holi is a joyful occasion to spend time with loved ones, play with colors, enjoy a tasty feast, and start anew. Join us for the festival of colors and joy during Holi Festival 2023, taking place from March 7th to 8th, 2023.
Sri Krishna Janma Bhoomi – Located in Mathura, Sri Krishna Janma Bhoomi is the birthplace of Lord Shri Krishna, one of the most revered deities in Hinduism. It is believed that Lord Krishna was born in a prison cell where his parents, Vasudeva and Devaki, were imprisoned by King Kansa. Visitors can see the prison cell and offer prayers at the temple dedicated to Lord Krishna.
Vrindavan – Vrindavan is a sacred city located near Mathura and is considered the childhood playground of Lord Krishna. There are numerous temples dedicated to Lord Krishna and his beloved Radha in Vrindavan, making it a pilgrimage destination for millions of Hindus every year.
Taj Mahal and Agra Fort – Agra is a city located in the northern state of Uttar Pradesh and is home to two of the most famous UNESCO World Heritage Sites in India: the Taj Mahal and the Agra Fort. Taj Mahal is a white marble mausoleum built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal. Agra Fort, on the other hand, is a massive red sandstone fort that served as the main residence of the Mughal emperors for several centuries.
Day 01 : Arrival at New Delhi
The Tusk Travel representative will be waiting for you when you arrive at New Delhi Airport to meet you and take you to your hotel.
Enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure at Tusk Travel’s wide tree-lined boulevards and explore its bustling streets. Overnight stay at the hotel.
DAY 02 : New Delhi – Vrindavan (185 Km – 3.30 Hours Drive )
After breakfast at the hotel, leave for Vrindavan. You will check into your hotel once you have reached Vrindavan. Rest and relax at the hotel, then proceed to Barsana (Radha’s Village) where you will enjoy the most vibrant festival of colors – Holi.
In order to participate in the festival celebrations and to enjoy Holi, thousands of pilgrims and travelers travel to Mathura and Vrindavan. This is the beginning of the Holi celebrations in Vrindavan as the festival of Holi begins almost a week before the main day of Holi, with Lathmar Holi being played in Barsana, a small village inside Mathura.
After enjoying the day-long celebration in Barsana, you will drive back to your hotel in Vrindavan for the night.

DAY 03 : At Vrindavan (March 2, 2023)
To enjoy the ongoing celebrations, leave for Nandgaon (Krishna’s Village) after breakfast.
In Nandgaon, Krishna spent his childhood. You can participate, enjoy, sing, and dance like the locals do to enjoy the celebrations.
After lunch, spend the remainder of your day at leisure. In the evening, return to your hotel.

DAY 04 :At Vrindavan
Following breakfast at the hotel, visit Banke-Bihari Temple for Holi celebrations that last for a week.
In the Banke-Bihari temple, people chant Radhe Radhe, sing bhajan, dance, and throw flowers at each other to celebrate Holi.
Hotel stays overnight.
DAY 05 :At Vrindavan (Excursion trip to Agra )
Our representative will pick you up early in the morning and take you to Agra – the city of the Taj Mahal.
Upon your arrival, visit Itimad–Ud–Daulah, the Agra Fort, and the Taj Mahal.
Later in the evening, the representative will take you back to Vrindavan for an overnight stay.
DAY 06 :At Vrindavan
During the Holi festival, the hotel will host temples and Holi celebrations.
Pilgrims can chant Radhe Radhe, carry herbal colors, and dance to the music.
DAY 07 :At Vrindavan (Excursion trip to Fatehpur Sikri
Drive to Fatehpur Sikri for sightseeing after breakfast at the hotel. Fatehpur Sikri was built by Akbar in the late 16th century and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Fatehpur Sikri, a superb walled city built in the late 16th century, was abandoned after just 14 years, but the elegant buildings remain intact to this very day.
Return to Vrindavan for an overnight stay after sightseeing at Fatehpur Sikri.
DAY 08 :At Vrindavan
After breakfast at the hotel, proceed to Banke Bihari temple to play Holi inside the temple’s premises.
Spend the rest of the day at Banke Bihari temple. In the evening, participate in the Holi-ka Dahan ceremony to celebrate good over evil.
As the larger event of playing around with colors takes place the following day, the day is also known as Choti Holi among the residents.
Overnight, stay at the hotel.
DAY 09 :At Vrindavan (Main Day of the Holi Festival
We will be sharing sweets and dishes, singing Radhe Radhe, and dancing at the historical Dwarkadheesh Temple in Mathura after breakfast.
Our evening is free at leisure. Overnight at the hotel.
DAY 10 :Vrindavan – New Delhi
You will be transferred to the New Delhi airport by our representative after breakfast so you can board your flight home or onward.
